SAdamson in 2008

Thanks for coming.  I hope you’ve enjoyed your stay.

This year seems different.  The past two years I have spent New Year’s away from my family, in Belgium, racing my bike.  But this year I needed some time off.  So it feels different.

As I look back on 2008, I started the year off racing in Baal with my friend Marc being my mechanic.  He took care of my every need.  I really enjoyed my stay in Belgium with Marc and Vicki.  I wish I was with you guys again!  My mom got to see me race in the World Championships in Italy.  I got to tour around the country with her!  I got some cool coaching opportunities and had one of my most motivated springs of training ever.  I was having a lot of fun!  I got to work at a great coffee shop with great people.  I got to start working at United Cycle again.  I got to race my bike with Chris Horner.  I got to meet some wicked people and have a new experience, being a mechanic at Abitibi.  I had a great Elite National Cyclocross Championships.  I got to learn a lot at school.  I got to meet some great people, see some great things, and do a lot of great stuff!!!

I’m incredibly lucky and grateful!  I couldn’t thank all of my family and friends enough.  Thank you!

I am really excited for 2009!  I am excited to start training again and work with Adam Myerson.  I am excited to develop the Juventus Elite Development Cycling Team.  I am excited to go to school and learn more.  I am excited for opportunities and people that present themselves.  I am excited to smile and enjoy every minute!!!

Thanks everyone for a great oh eight!  And I know I’ll be double-thanking you in 365 days!

Why do bad things happen to good people?

Because they’re the only ones who can handle the bad things…

That's a good way to put it!

From my new coach, Adam Myerson.  Enjoy.

I also wanted to thank everyone for an unbelievable 2008 and to Bruce, who coached me to many great heights in the past 3 years.  Thanks to Juventus, River Valley Cycle, United Cycle, Alpha Q, TRP, Mom and Dad, and everybody else who helped me get to where I am!

I hope I can have Adam’s amazing passion for cycling and just love riding and racing my bike.  I know that will make for a great 2009!
