Only Here for the Food

I feel like I have lots of half or quarter posts rolling around in my head, but I can’t put any thoughts together right now, so I’ll stick with keeping you up to date with what I read (which isn’t much…).

And for all of you who think I think too much about cycling, here is another passion… Food!

Only Here for the Food is a great Edmonton foodie.  She writes all kinds of great things about her own cooking, restaurant reviews, and Edmonton area food notes.  Without this blog I wouldn’t know half of the things that are going on around here.  So if you like food, check it out!

Cycle-smart

In continuing with my addition of all my blogs that I read that I’ve failed to add to my blogroll, here is the Cycle-smart blog.

It is one that I have been following for a while.  But after much reflective thought last fall, I pursued Adam Myerson at Cycle-smart for some coaching.  It was just time for a change and it has been really good so far!

So check out his blog, see what he’s up to; and maybe if you need a coach, talk to the guys or there or talk to me too!

Training, a metaphor for life

Hmm… I don’t know if I’m exactly sure where this is going, but it certainly seems interesting!

I was doing my intervals on the weekend, suffering, wondering why I’m putting myself through this.  Then I talked to my coach and he reiterated the thought I had; those intervals are so hard for me and hurt so bad because that is what I need the most!

Hmm…

So maybe that is similar to the way in which we criticize others and judge the people we see.

Maybe we need to stop judging others and look at those same characteristics in ourselves first.

Maybe we need to take our dirty laundry and deal with it first before we start looking at everybody else.

Maybe…

But it sure was a beautiful weekend for riding!!  This morning, the birds are chirping, the sun is out!  I think it’s almost spring!

Podium Cafe

Well… it was brought to my attention a couple weeks ago that I need to update my blogroll.

I have links on there that I, myself haven’t visited in many months.  I have links on there that are broken.  And I also have many links that are not on there of places that I visit regularly and enjoy whose information I enjoy greatly!

As I was looking through my google reader, I got scared.  I have a lot of work to do with this blogroll.  So I decided what I’ll do is take my time, highlight each site or feed that I enjoy as I add them to my list.

The first one, Podium Cafe – The People’s Peloton, is one that I don’t remember how I found, but started following just recently.  There are a ton of posts on here each and I can’t claim to read nearly half of them.  But I certainly do enjoy much of what’s written!

So check it out!  And keep checking back here for other cool sites that I read and enjoy that you haven’t found from me before.
